About Yvette S McCarter

Yvette S. McCarter, Ph.D., is a University of Florida professor of pathology and is a specialist in medical and public health microbiology at UF Health Jacksonville. She serves as associate chair for the UF Department of Pathology – Jacksonville and is director of the Microbiology Laboratory. She received her doctorate from Virginia Commonwealth University School of Medicine in Richmond, Virginia, and completed a microbiology fellowship at Hartford Hospital in Hartford, Connecticut.
